HAMPTON, VA. — After two and a half weeks away from the pool, the Northeastern swimming and diving team (6-2) heads down for the 2026 CAA Swimming and Diving Championships, held at the Hampton Aquaplex from Wednesday, Feb. 25 to Saturday, Feb. 28. The four-day event begins at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday for the Huskies. Tickets for the competition can be bought on the CAA website. THREE THINGS TO KNOW
- CHAMPIONSHIP REWIND — At the 2025 CAA Championships, senior Erin Murphy earned CAA Diver of the Meet for the second consecutive year after sweeping the one-meter and three-meter events, while diving coach Lauren Colby was named CAA Diving Coach of the Year for the third straight season. Northeastern totaled 1,048 points across the four-day championship, marking its third consecutive top-half team finish. Junior Anna Verlander added a bronze in the 200 back and multiple Huskies posted personal bests across the meet, including standout swims from May Bradburn and Mary Nordmann.
- FRESHMAN PHENOMS — The Husky squad welcomed eleven freshman to the team at the beginning of the season. These then new faces have proved there talent and look to make waves at the CAA's. This season freshman Abigail Gowern and Kailyn Aquino have earned CAA Swimmer of the Week and CAA Diver of the Week. Aquino also earned herself CAA Rookie Diver of the Month, while Alex Fuller most recently was named CAA Rookie Swimmer of the Month.
- PREPARED FROM TOP TO BOTTOM — Northeastern enters the conference championships following a strong 6–2 regular season. The Huskies opened the year with wins over Vermont, Rhode Island, and MIT, then added victories against New Hampshire and Massachusetts. Most recently, the Huskies earned a conference win over fellow CAA opponent Stony Brook. Individually within the CAA, Abigail Gowern holds the second-fastest time in the 1650 free, while Alex Fuller ranks second in the 100 IM. The 200 free relay team of junior Mary Nordmann, Fuller, senior Kotoko Blair, and junior May Bradburn also currently sits second in the conference standings.
