BOSTON – The Northeastern men's basketball team heads to Long Island for a pair of CAA games this weekend, beginning on Thursday night at Hofstra (7 p.m.) before heading to Stony Brook for a 4 p.m. tip on Saturday. Both games this weekend will be streamed on FloCollege.
Â
THREE THINGS TO KNOW
1. SERIES HISTORY AGAINST THIS WEEKEND'S OPPONENTS
Northeastern and Hofstra will be meeting for the 60th time, with the Pride holding a 32-27 advantage in the series. The teams split the season series last year, with NU earning a 77-68 victory in Hempstead.
Â
Saturday's contest at Stony Brook will be the 22nd meeting between the teams with the Seawolves leading the series 11-10. The teams have split the last six games, 3-3, with Stony Brook picking up a 95-80 win two weeks ago in Boston.
Â
2. A PERFORMANCE FOR THE RECORD BOOKS
William Kermoury's 36-point day against Charleston on January 31 were the most points in a game for a Husky since Tyson Walker in 2021 and tied for the 13th most in Northeastern single-game history.Â
Â
The Stockholm native finished 15-of-27 from the field, tied for the fourth most made field goals in a game and the most since Jordan Roland in 2019.Â
Â
Kermoury is 10 made threes away from cracking Northeastern's top-ten list for triples made in a season.
Â
3. DOUBLE 'EM UP
Luca Soroa Schaller recorded his first career double-double with 13 points and a career-high 15 rebounds against Charleston (Jan. 31).
Â
He's the fifth different Husky (
Xander Alarie,
Haris Elezovic,
Ty Francis,
Youri Fritz) to record a double-double this season, the most for the team since 2016-17 (Maxime Boursiquot, Bolden Brace, Anthony Green, Alex Murphy, T.J. Williams).
