AMESBURY, Mass.— Sophomore Lisa Jönsson and senior Lily Shannon of the No. 5 Northeastern women's hockey team claimed Hockey East weekly awards as announced on Monday. Jönsson was named the Stop It Goaltending Goaltender of the Week and Shannon earned Boston Children's Hospital Player of the Week accolades.
 
The duo guided Northeastern to a 2-0-0 weekend with a 5-1 victory against Maine and 3-2 overtime win at Vermont. With the two wins, the Huskies clinched the Hockey East Regular Season Title and the No. 1 seed in the Hockey East Tournament.
 
The recently named National Goalie of the Year Semifinalist, Jönsson posted 69 saves over two victories with a .958 save percentage and 1.48 GAA. She improved to 13-0-1 in Hockey East games.
 
Shannon tallied two goals and two assists for four points on the week. She had a three-point performance against Maine with two goals and one assist, including the game-winner. She then posted one assist at Vermont.
 
Jönsson, Shannon and the Huskies are back in action at Boston University on Friday, Feb. 13 at 6 p.m.
