BOSTON— Sophomore
Lisa Jönsson of the No. 5 Northeastern women's hockey team has been named the National Co-Goalie of the Month for February by the Hockey Commissioners Association as announced on Thursday.
The Stockholm, Sweden native owned a 4-1-0 record in February, with four of the five games she played in going to overtime. She posted a 1.28 goals against average and .961 save percentage on the month.
Jönsson's highlight of the month was a 39-save performance to guide Northeastern to a double overtime win against Boston University in the Hockey East Quarterfinals on Feb. 28.
Jönsson and the Huskies are back in action in the Hockey East Championship against No. 6 UConn on Saturday, March 7 at 3:30 p.m.
