McDermid Earns Hockey East Rookie Of The Week Accolades

AMESBURY, Mass.— Freshman Emy McDermid of the No. 5 Northeastern women's hockey team was named the Hockey East Rookie of the Week as announced on Monday.

In the Hockey East Quarterfinals, McDermid scored the game-winning goal in double overtime against Boston University to send the Huskies to the Hockey East Semifinals. The goal marked McDermid's second career goal and first game-winning goal.

McDermid and the Huskies are back in action against sixth-seeded Vermont on Tuesday, March 3 at Walter Brown Arena. Admission is free for all.
