Satre Morales, Kriss, Trejo And Hassman Break 4x800m School Record At NEICAAA

BOSTON – The Northeastern women's track and field team competed at the New England Championships in its final indoor meet of the season, highlighted by a victorious performance in the 4x800m relay that set both a school and meet record.
  • In the mile, senior Lauren Trejo was the first Husky to cross the line, finishing sixth with a time of 4:59.92.
  • The quartet of freshman Lola Satre Morales (2:08.94), senior Stephanie Kriss (2:09.07), Lauren Trejo (2:17.05), and junior Waverly Hassman (2:10.81) captured the 4x800m title, crossing the line more than 25 seconds ahead of the second-place team. The group combined for a time of 8:45.78, breaking the Northeastern school record as well as the indoor NEICAAA meet record.
  • In the 500m, junior Brittani Westberry finished with a time of 1:18.84.

The Huskies will return to competition on Friday, March 20 at the UCF Black & Gold Relays in Orlando, Fla.
