Track & Field Tackles Three Meets On Friday

BOSTON— The Northeastern track and field team competed across three meets including the Virginia Challenge, UConn Northeast Challenge and MIT Sean Collier Invitational on Friday.

VIRGINIA CHALLENGE

Aidan Moreau threw 55.65m in the hammer throw.
In the shot put, Leila Curtis posted a mark of 14.83m.

UCONN NORTHEAST CHALLENGE

Logan Alfandari led the way for the Husky men competing in the discus throw, posting a mark of 42.69m.
Catherine Sargent posted a mark of 42.59m in the discus throw.
In the javelin, Hailey Romero threw 37.64m.
In the long jump, Aiden Ray posted a mark of 6.39m, while Ava Carry-McDonald jumped 5.22m.

MIT SEAN COLLIER INVITATIONAL

Three Huskies posted top-five finishes in the 1500m with Stephanie Kriss taking second (4:29.68), Lucy Abdow placing third (4:29.74) and Lauren Trejo claiming fifth (4:32.96).
In the 5000m, Kristen Melnik and Keira Gamily finished in fourth (17:21.78) and fifth (17:23.91), respectively.
Ryan Leslie placed fourth in the 5000m with a time of 14:40.37.
Vivian McMahon ran to a fourth-place finish in the 10000m in a time of 36:19.97.
Jack Seagroatt posted a time of 30:26.68 to place third in the 10000m.

The Huskies will continue competition at the UConn Northeastern Challenge and MIT Sean Collier Invitational on Saturday, April 18.
