Huskies Ready For 2026 CAA Outdoor Championships

ELON, N.C. — The Northeastern track & field team is set to compete at the 2026 CAA Outdoor Championships at the Jerry and Jeanne Robertson Track and Field Complex beginning Friday, May 15 at 9:30 a.m. and concluding Saturday, May 16. Both the men's and women's teams will look to reclaim the conference titles and repeat the championship sweep they accomplished in 2024.

THREE THINGS TO KNOW
  1. THERE'S NO PLACE LIKE HOME — The Huskies hosted the Jay Carisella and Joe Donahue Coaches Invitational as the final meet of the regular season. At home, the Huskies 4x100m relay team broke the school record. Junior Victoria Knight, sophomore Cora Kunze, sophomore Ailani Sutherland and freshman Anaya Jones combined times for an overall 44.47 record. Two all-times were added to the men's list, freshman Brady Danyluk earned a ninth place spot in the 800m (1:49.93) and graduate student Kyle Sarney found himself tied for fifth in the 1500m (3:44.61).
  2. CROWNING A CHAMP — Northeastern heads back to the CAA Outdoor Championships in North Carolina, this year taking place at Elon University. Field events will take place across both days, while track events begin with preliminary rounds on Friday and conclude with finals on Saturday. A total of 59 Huskies are set to compete over the two-day meet. Last season, the Elon Phoenix captured the women's team title, while the North Carolina A&T Aggies won the men's championship.
  3. GOING ON TOUR — Following the CAA Championships, NU will make a bid for athletes to attend the NCAA East Preliminaries in Lexington, Kentucky and the NCAA Championships in Eugene, Oregon. Northeastern's Kyle Sarney, Matthew St. Cyr, Carter Engelman, Victoria Knight, Cora Kunze, Ailani Sutherland and Anaya Jones all rank among the top 48 qualifiers in the NCAA East Region entering the weekend.
Next, Northeastern will head to the NCAA East Region Preliminaries from Wednesday, May 27 to Saturday, May 30 in Lexington, Kentucky.
