BOSTON — Northeastern women's rowing heads to Pennsauken, N.J. this Saturday, May 16 to compete at the 2026 CAA Championship on Cooper River. First race goes at 9:30 a.m. with the third varsity eight grand final, with all the action streaming live on FloCollege.
THREE THINGS TO KNOW:
- DEFENDING A TITLE: The Huskies enter Saturday chasing a 12th-consecutive CAA Championship title. Northeastern has claimed the CAA crown 14 times since 2009, all under head coach Joe Wilhelm. Standing in their way are Albany, Drexel, Monmouth, UC San Diego, UConn and Villanova. The title will be decided by the varsity four, second varsity eight and first varsity eight races, with the CAA champion earning an automatic bid to the NCAA Championship at Lake Lanier Olympic Park in Gainesville, Georgia from May 29-31.
- 2025 CAA REWIND: A year ago, Northeastern secured its 11th-straight CAA title with 47 points across the three scoring races. Head coach Joe Wilhelm earned CAA Coach of the Year honors for a conference-best 11th time, and Camille Arnold-Mages, Ellexi Fulton, Windsyr Maughan, Firinne Rolfe, Heather Taylor and Victoria Thibeault each earned spots on the All-CAA team.
- SENIOR SENDOFF:Â Northeastern celebrated its 2026 senior class at the annual spring brunch on Sunday, April 26, honoring 13 Huskies who helped the program capture three consecutive CAA Championships and three NCAA Tournament appearances. The class includes Isla Bathgate, Izzy Blackburn, Alice Brashers, Madelyn Bridge, Eliza Ford, Gaby Leon-Palfrey, Erin Murphy, Liv Oyen, Llian Riedel, Jorja Shemilt, Caroline Surbeck, Heather Taylor and Grace Theobald.
