BOSTON – The Coastal Athletic Association has announced its year-end awards for baseball, with 10 All-Conference honors for the Northeastern Huskies. Four Huskies earned All-CAA First Team selections, three were named to the Second Team, one picked up honorable mention status, and three freshmen landed on the All-Rookie Team following a 34-19 campaign that included a 22-8 mark in conference play.
- Redshirt senior outfielder Harrison Feinberg leads the First Team selections after another historic season. The Greenwich, Connecticut native hit .340/.450/.617 with 15 home runs, 61 RBIs, and 42 stolen bases. Feinberg broke the program's all-time career home run record with his 43rd blast at Boston College on April 14th, and finished the year with the program record well in hand. He entered the season as the CAA Preseason Player of the Year, a D1Baseball Second-Team Preseason All-American, and a Golden Spikes Award Watch List selection. Feinberg earns All-CAA honors for the third time in his career.
- Fellow outfielder Ryan Gerety earned First Team honors after a strong junior campaign, slashing .330/.471/.512 with five home runs, 36 RBIs, and 20 stolen bases. Gerety's 41-game on-base streak, dating back to February 24th against Nebraska, was the longest on the team, and his team-leading 49 walks and .471 on-base percentage made him one of the toughest outs in the conference. It's the first All-CAA selection of Gerety's career.
- Senior Matt Brinker earned the First Team designated hitter spot after batting .322 with eight home runs, 58 RBIs, and a .561 slugging percentage. Brinker provided a consistent middle-of-the-order presence all season, including the first Northeastern grand slam of the year at Hofstra and a walk-off three-run homer to end the Monmouth series on April 4th. It's the first All-CAA selection of Brinker's career.
- Out of the bullpen, graduate transfer Andrew Wertz earned All-CAA First Team honors as a reliever. The Salve Regina transfer posted a 3.12 ERA with four saves and 33 strikeouts in 34.2 innings of work, providing the Huskies a reliable late-inning arm in high-leverage situations throughout CAA play.
- Northeastern placed three more players on the All-CAA Second Team, beginning with freshman infielder Tyler Harmony, who earned Second Team recognition after a breakout debut. Harmony hit .386/.489/.495 with two home runs and 17 RBIs in 24 games while earning CAA Rookie of the Week honors on April 20th.
- Starting pitcher Robbie O'Connor earned Second Team honors as the Huskies' Friday starter. The redshirt junior transfer from UMass went 9-1 on the season and held opposing batters to a .207 average in 13 appearances. He posted his fourth shutout performance of the season last weekend, throwing all nine innings for just the second time in his career.
- Saturday starter Luc Rising also earned Second Team selection after posting a 3.18 ERA with a 5-4 record and a team-leading 68 strikeouts in 70.2 innings. The senior transfer from RIT was one of the most consistent arms in the Huskies' rotation all season, earning CAA Pitcher of the Week honors in the final month of the regular season.
- Earning honorable mention status was freshman reliever Cooper Maher, whose 3.58 ERA, two saves, and 25 strikeouts in 32.2 innings gave the Huskies another dependable arm out of the bullpen.
- Northeastern placed three freshmen on the All-CAA Rookie Team: infielder Tyler Harmony, infielder AJ Aschettino, and right-handed pitcher Cooper Maher. Aschettino, a redshirt freshman from Miller Place, New York, hit .270/.355/.408 with 10 home runs and 30 RBIs while seeing time at third base and first base. Harmony and Maher each earned their second All-Conference honor of the day after their Second Team and honorable mention selections, respectively.
- The three All-Rookie selections are the most for the program since the 2021 season, and it's the fourth year out of the last five where the Huskies had four or more first team selections.
The Huskies are the number two seed in the CAA Tournament, and play their first tournament game this Thursday, May 21 at 7 p.m. against the highest remaining seed from Wednesday's games. All games in the CAA Tournament will stream on FloCollege.
