Northeastern Finishes Regular Season At Home With Multiple Event Wins

BOSTON — The Northeastern track and field team hosted the Jay Carisella and Joe Donahue Coaches Invitational at the Solomon Track & Field Facility on Saturday, May 2, highlighted by multiple victories and strong top-five performances across the board.

TRACK EVENTS
  • Freshman Raymond Felton III led the Huskies in the sprints, winning the men's 100m in 10.57 and adding a third-place finish in the 200m (21.42).
  • A first-place finish in the men's 200m came from junior Brunner Williams, who crossed in 21.34.
  • Senior Michael Stroup contributed a top-five result in the men's 100m, placing fifth with a time of 10.87.
  • Freshman Aiden Ray delivered a strong showing with a third-place finish in the 110m hurdles (14.54) and a runner-up performance in the 400m hurdles (53.37).
  • Sophomore Elena Olson secured a third-place finish in the women's 100m hurdles, clocking a time of 14.31.
  • Junior Victoria Knight earned a runner-up finish in the women's 100m (11.92).
  • Freshman James Ciaccio paced the Huskies in the men's 400m with a fourth-place finish in 47.96.
  • On the women's side of the 400m, sophomore Morgan Hayward placed fifth with a time of 56.82.
  • A fourth-place finish in the women's 800m came from freshman Lola Satre Morales, who crossed the finish in 2:08.30.
  • Freshman Brady Danyluk competed in the men's 800m and took fifth place in 1:49.93.
  • In the 1500m, graduate student Kyle Sarney took fifth place in 3:44.60.
  • Distance events saw freshman Dawson French capture the men's 5000m title in 14:27.66.
  • Another win came from freshman Jack Seagroatt in the men's 3000m, finishing in 8:41.13.
  • The men's 4x100m relay team of sophomore Taeshawn Berry, junior Brunner Williams, senior Michael Stroup, and freshman Raymond Felton III secured first place with a time of 40.28.
  • A second-place finish in the women's 4x100m relay came from junior Victoria Knight, junior Savannah Blair, sophomore Cora Kunze, and freshman Anaya Jones, who ran 44.47.
  • Northeastern's men's 4x400m relay team of freshman Brady Danyluk, senior Conall Rogers, sophomore Cian Gara Grady, and freshman James Ciaccio captured the win in 3:21.47.
  • The women's 4x400m relay team of sophomore Cora Kunze, sophomore Morgan Hayward, junior Savannah Blair, and freshman Lola Satre Morales added a third-place finish in 3:57.29.
FIELD EVENTS
  • Senior Mia Belanger secured the top spot in the women's high jump, clearing 1.56m.
  • Junior Camryn Cole recorded a mark of 5.90m to earn a second-place finish in the women's long jump.
  • The men's pole vault saw a strong showing from the Huskies, as freshman Carter Engelman led the way with a first-place mark of 4.55m, followed by freshman Nathan Epstein in second (4.40m) and senior Kevin Xu in third (4.25m).
  • Juniors Katie Rodriguez and Hannah Shaw each earned a 3.40m mark in the women's pole vault to tie for second place.
  • Freshman Ogechi Nathan added a fifth-place finish in the women's long jump with a leap of 5.45m.
  • Junior Aidan Moreau placed third in the hammer throw with a mark of 59.25m.
  • On the women's side of the hammer throw, senior Liangie Calderon earned second place with a throw of 53.65m.
  • Freshman Matthew St. Cyr recorded a fourth-place finish in the javelin with a mark of 60.44m.
  • Senior Leila Curtis secured second place in the shot put with a throw of 14.12m.
Northeastern will look to build on this momentum as the Huskies prepare for the upcoming CAA championships on May 15-16.
