After walking-off with game one, the Huskies took a decidedly easier route in the second game of their double-header against Central Michigan Friday afternoon, finishing the sweep with a 6-3 victory.

The Huskies opened the game scoring two runs in the top of the first inning. The inning started with back-to-back doubles by Matt Miller and David Gustafson. Gustafson's double scored Miller and Mike Tamsin followed Gustafson by drilling a single which scored Gustafson.

In the fifth the Huskies added another run when Frank Pesanello scored David Gustafson to increase the Huskies lead to three runs.

After Les Williams went four strong innings, striking out four and allowing no runs, Tyler Thornton came in to start the fifth. Thornton gave up a run but left the game with the lead in tact.

Freshmen Andrew Leenhouts pitched 3-2/3 innings of scoreless ball, striking out six along the way to close out the victory.

In the sixth inning the Huskies added to their lead again with a Mike Tamsin stand-up triple which sent Matt Miller and David Gustafson home. With Tamsin on third Frank Pesanello smacked a single scoring Tamsin increasing the Huskies lead to five runs.

Northeastern now moves to 7-1 on the season and extends their winning streak to seven games. The Huskies are back at it tomorrow starting with Miami (Ohio) at 9 a.m. followed by Ohio State. Both games will be nine innings.
