Junior Kashaia Cannon led all players with 21 points, while contributing three rebounds and two assists. Classmate Jamie Conroy scored a season-high 16 points and just missed a double-double with nine rebounds on the night.

Sophomore Afreyea Tolbert tallied 15 points and two steals for the Huskies, while fellow sophomore Rachael Pecota registered a double-double with 11 rebounds and 10 points. The forward added four steals, two blocks and two assists to her stat line.

The Terriers were led by Chantell Alford, who posted 12 points and five assists. Mo Moran also added 12 points and four assists for BU.

Cannon put the Huskies on the board first with a shot from inside the paint, but the Terriers quickly evened the score with a Kristen Sims layup. Cannon's three-point field goal then made it 5-3 Huskies and Pecota scored her first basket of the night on a layup, giving the Huskies 7-2 advantage at the first timeout on the floor.

Kristen Sim posted the first points following a break for the Terriers, drilling a basket from beyond the arc to put BU within two, but Pecota responded for the Huskies on their next possesion with a jumper of her own. The teams exchanged layups before a Sierra Tunstull foul on Kasie Carbacio sent the Terrier to the line, where she converted a three-point play. Northeastern got a chance for a three-point play of its own on the Huskies' next possesion, but Tolbert was unable to capitalize on her opportunity from the charity stripe.

BU embarked on a 10-4 run to take a 20-17 lead with under eight minutes to play in the half. Cannon's layup sparked a 7-1 run for the Huskies, giving Northeastern a 24-21 advantage before head coach Daynia La-Force Mann called for a timeout with 5:17 remaining on the clock.

Conroy's layup pushed the Huskies advantage to 26-21 before the final timeout on the floor at 3:49. Pecota drilled two attempts from beyond the arc in final minute of the half, sending Northeastern to the locker room with a 32-26 lead.

The second half started with both teams unable to put the ball in the basket for the opening three minutes. Tolbert's shot from the charity stripe ended the scoreless drought for the Huskies at 16:45. BU got on the board with a three-point field goal from Alford then closed in on Northeastern's lead with another trey from Jacqueline Kuczynski.

Cannon's jumper at 14:16 put the Huskies back on top by three and a layup for Tolbert gave the Huskies a 39-33 advantage. Two free throws from Conroy extended the Huskies' lead to 40-33 before a pair of free throws from Mo Moran cut the Huskies lead to six at 41-35.

Iervolino hit her first shot of the game at 9:26, burying a basket from beyond the arc. The Terriers then committed a shooting foul on Tolbert, and the sophomore converted from the charity stripe to push the Huskies' lead out to 10 at 47-37. Northeastern extended its lead to 52-39 following a three-point play from Cannon. The Terriers began to cut into the Huskies' lead with a jumper from Kuczynski and used a 4-0 rally before Northeastern regained a double-digit lead at 54-43 with 5:14 left to play.

The Terriers would managed to shorten the Huskies' lead to 56-48 with 2:45 left in the game, but Northeastern refused to let BU back into the game. The Huskies managed to lead by as many as 13 points en route to their 67-55 victory.
