Kim Carr of the women's basketball team has been named Student-Athlete of the Week after helping Northeastern to a win over Georgia State on Thursday, February 4 and also posting a career milestone in the process.
Carr led the Huskies with 17 points and five rebounds in a come from behind win on the road against Georgia State. Northeastern trailed 31-22 at the half, but behind Carr's 12 second half points, the Huskies claimed a 61-53 victory.
Carr also surpassed the 500 rebound mark in the game and has amassed 506 rebounds in her Northeastern career. Carr ranks 18th all-time in scoring with 878 points. This season the senior tri-captain is averaging 11.8 points per game and 5.5 rebounds a game but has stepped up her game in conference play, posting 15.2 points per game and 6.9 rebounds a game.
Northeastern returns to action on Thursday, February 11 taking on Drexel at 7 p.m.
