Matt Miller and Jon Leroux stroked three hits apiece to lead Northeastern over Bryant, 7-4, in Smithfield, R.I. Starting pitcher Andrew Leenhouts threw six innings, striking out seven and walking none to get his first win of the year. Senior Charly Bashara threw three scoreless innings, allowing just one hit, to pick up his second save of the season.

Seniors Frank Compagnone (2-for-5) and Tony DiCesare (1-for-4, walk) both drove in two runs and scored another.

Leenhouts allowed just two hits through the first five innings, working with a 3-0 lead, before Bryant tagged him for four runs in the bottom of the sixth.

Northeastern struck back in the top of the seventh, scoring four runs of their own on five singles.

All 13 of the Huskies' hits were singles, and DiCesare's walk was the only free pass issued by Bryant pitchers.
Brendan Stokes batted 2-for-3 with an RBI and Alan Pastyrnak and Logan Gillis both added a hit and a run.

Bashara's three scoreless innings lowered his ERA to 1.00 in nine innings of work.

Northeastern and Bryant wrap up their three-game set tomorrow at 1 p.m. at Friedman Diamond in Brookline. Freshman Kevin Ferguson (1-1, 2.45 ERA) is slated to start, looking to get win number two on the season.
