Huskies second at CAA Championship

The Northeastern women's crew finished second in the 2nd annual CAA Championship, dropping a heart breaker to Buffalo by one point on Sunday.

The Huskies emerged victorious in the varsity 8 event, earning 18 points. However, their second-place finish in the 2nd varsity 8 race and third-place finish in the varsity 4 event were not enough to capture back-to-back CAA titles.

In the 2nd varsity 8 race, Buffalo crossed the line at 6:43.2 while Northeastern finished at 6:51.7. In the varsity 4 race, Buffalo emerged victorious as well with a time of 7:30.3, ahead of Delaware (7:36.4) and Northeastern (7:43.6).

Three members of the Northeastern crew were named to the All-CAA first team following the event. Junior captain Veronica Townsend, junior Jen Forbes and junior Katie Ward earned the honors.
