The Northeastern women's track & field team competed in five events on Saturday at the 2010 ECAC Championship in Princeton, N.J. Sophomore Saleena Abdur-Rashed directed the Huskies' efforts after passing into the semifinal round of the 100-meter hurdles with a 14th-place clip of 14.47 (top 16 move onto the semis).

Abdur-Rashed improved upon her first round mark and placed ninth with a time of 14.32 in the semis. The second-year hurdler missed out on qualifying for the final heat by 0.07 seconds as the top eight move on for Sunday's showdown.

The 4 x 100-meter relay team comprised of senior Consandria Walker, junior Serena Allen, sophomore Sarah Trotman and Abdur-Rashed combined for their second-best time of the season in 47.35. Northeastern's mark slotted the Huskies in 14th which did not pass NU into the next round.

The 4 x 800-meter relay team made up of juniors Seri Gordon and Angelique Marcus along with rookies Laura Coyne and Eryn Wheeler logged a 20th-place trial of 9:13.70 in the preliminary heat of the event. Despite meeting ECAC standards, the foursome did not qualify for the final race.

Senior Celeste Holder also claimed 14th place after clearing 5.54m (18'2.25) in the long jump. Junior Althea Charles represented Northeastern in the hammer throw, but was unable to record a mark after three-consecutive fouls.

Last night, sophomore Kristen Martin participated in the 10,000-meter run but did not finish the event.

Walker will contend for the triple jump tomorrow at 11 a.m. in an effort to capture the Huskies' first ECAC title since Zara Northover turned the trick in the shot put in 2007.
