Women's Crew lost the final portion of the Charles River Challenge to Southern California, the nation's top-ranked squad, by 9.7 seconds Sunday.
The Trojans finished with a time of 6:37.1, while the Huskies finished at 6:46.8. Southern California led from stern to stem, completing a productive weekend for both teams.
NU finished the Charles River Challenge 4-1 despite the loss. They are now 7-2 on the season and, according to the first cMax poll, are ranked 27th in the nation.
USC competed against NU coming off an impressive 22.7 second victory against third-ranked Radcliffe on Saturday. The Trojans also took the 2nd varsity and varsity four races Sunday.

The Huskies will now prepare for their next meet against Radcliffe, BC and MIT in the 24th rowing of the Rowlands Cup on the Charles. Radcliffe has won the last eight in a row, and owns the all-time series by a mark of 19-4 over NU.
