In a weekend in which the majority of the Northeastern women's cross country took some time to recooperate before heading into championship season, sophomore
Karissa Mako and junior
Kathleen Keen turned in respectable times at Saturday's UMass Dartmouth Invitational.
Mako outran 227 other harriers with a 63rd-place time of 19:57 in the 5K trial.Keen outlasted 179 runners with a mark of 20:30 for 111th.
With on a pair of runners, Northeastern did not meet the seven-women quota needed to fulfill a team score. Wellsley emerged victoriously out of the 39-team pool with a collective team time of 1:31.44.
The women's distance squad will make its way to New Britain, Conn. next Saturday to compete in the CCSU Ted Owens Invitational on Sept. 25.
