2010 Performance List
The Northeastern women's cross country team owned a majority of the podium in its season debut at the Bryant Invitational (5K) as seniors
Annie Scully,
Kristen Martin and
Meegan Joly turned in second, third and fourth-place times, respectively to start off the 2010 season.
Scully, who piloted the Huskies in four out of five outings in 2009, starting off her senior season with a team-best time of 19:23.83 while classmate Martin claimed third in 19:39.19. Joly's clip of 19:47.46 rounded out Northeastern's top five finishers.
"The women got off to a good start today," distance coach Renny Waldron said. "Certainly it was nice to get a victory. Annie and Kristen looked good, and it's really nice to see Meegan back at it after battling injuries over the past two years. The team will continue to improve over the next month."
Senior
Seri Gordon initiated her final year with a seven-place showing of 20:15.30 while newcomer
Danielle Klein making an impressive eight-place debut of 20:19.67.
Veteran
Jessica Barton placed 12th with a time of 20:30.86 while senior
Jillian Buck captured 13th place to the tune of 20:44.19.
Sophomore
Karissa Mako and junior
Kathleen Keen closed out the Huskies efforts in 24th and 41st, respectively, with time of 21:48.00 and 23:08.35.
In Friday's race, 55 competitors took part in the race in Smithfield, R.I.
The women's distance team returns to its home track of Franklin Park on Saturday, Sept. 11 to take part in the Boston College Invitational. The Huskies are scheduled to go off at around 2 p.m.
