Despite a late second-half rally, Northeastern was unable to take down the Terriers, as the Huskies fell, 75-65, to Boston University on Tuesday night at Case Gymnasium. The Huskies move to 0-4 on the season.

Deanna Kerkhof came within a point of her career-best, netting 24 points, including four three-pointers, to lead the Huskies as the only player to record a double-digit scoring performance.

Three players from BU scored in double-digits with junior Chantell Alford leading the way with 21. Senior Alex Young added 20 and junior Mo Moran contributed 11 for the Terriers.
Tunstull started the scoring for the Huskies early with a layup during Northeastern's first possession of the night to spark a 7-3 run by the Huskies to open the game. Alex Young brought the Terriers within a point, 7-6, with a three pointer before BU took the lead on the next possession and extended the advantage with a 6-0 run, as Northeastern trailed, 12-7, with 15:48 remaining.
The Terriers pushed their run to 9-0 before Tunstull put the Huskies back on the board with a pair of foul shots at 14:06. Kerkhof followed with her first points of the night from the wing to cut the Huskies' deficit to three before BU retaliated with 11 unanswered points to take a 26-12 lead and force the Huskies into a timeout at 10:45.
Tunstull continued to power the Huskies' offense out of the break with a driving layup but the Terriers did not let up, as Young connected on her second three of the night at the other end of the court. Kerkhof drained her second shot from the perimeter and Conroy followed with her first points of the night from long range to cut the lead to nine points but the Terrier pushed it back to double-digits, 32-30, with a three from Kristin Sims.
Gaboriault cut BU's lead down to 10 points at the 4:33 mark and a pair of free throws from Tunstull just over a minute later brought the margin to single digits. The Terriers pushed their lead back to double-digits with a 5-0 run but Iervolino sunk a three-pointer to send Northeastern to the locker room trailing, 43-33.
BU opened the second half with four straight points and Kerkhof then got the Huskies on the board with a pair of free throws. Iervolino connected on her third three of the night to bring Northeastern back within single digits but BU did not relent and pushed its lead back to double-digits, 49-39, with a layup from Caroline Stewart.
Chantell Alford matched BU's largest lead of the night with a three-pointer at 13:34 and Mercier responded on the other end with her first trey of her career but BU continued the streak of shots from downtown with a three from Jacqueline Kuczynski to maintain the 15-point advantage.
Northeastern chipped away at BU's lead and brought the deficit down to six points, 71-65, with 1:19 remaining in the game but the Terriers closed out the game with four shots from the charity stripe take the 75-65 victory.
The Huskies finished the game with a 38.2 shooting percentage (21-55) while the Terriers ended with a 40.3 clip. The Huskies won the battle on the boards, 38-36.
Next up for the Huskies is a trip to Las Vegas, as Northeastern is set to participate in the Lady Rebel Round-up hosted by UNLV on Saturday, Nov. 26, and Sunday, Nov. 27. The Huskies will face UNLV on Saturday at 1 p.m. (PT) then face either Georgia or Georgetown on Sunday at 1 p.m. or 3:30 p.m.
