Kashaia Cannon's 15 points led a quartet of Huskies who scored in double-figures, as Northeastern's late rally came up short at Drexel, 70-63. The Huskies fall to 8-16 (3-10 CAA) on the season while Drexel improves to 14-10 (6-7 CAA).

Drexel was led by Kamile Nacickaite, who posted a game-high 30 points and six assists. Taylor Wootton and Hollie Mershon both added 14 points for the Dragons.
Drexel got on the board first with a basket from Wootton to start a 4-0 run for the Dragons before Mayberry tallied the Huskies first points with a basket off a dish from Huber. The Dragons responded immediately on the other end with a basket from Nacickaite but the Huskies kept pace with a Conroy jumper. Huber pulled the Huskies within two but Nacickaite regained the four-point advantage for the Dragons on their next possesion to send the teams to a timeout at 14:39 with Drexel ahead 10-6.
The Dragons hit back-to-back three pointers following the break, forcing the Huskies to call a timeout. Drexel continued its run after the stoppage, notching six unanswered points to take a 22-6 lead before Cannon put the Huskies back on the board with a three from the wing. Huber followed with a layup after grabbing an offensive rebound and Cannon notched her second three of the afternoon to bring the Huskies within 10, 24-14, with 7:33 left on the clock.
Cannon scored her third three-pointer of the game to cut the margin down to single-digits then Tunstull drove to the basket to bring the Huskies within five points. Drexel responded with layups from Wootton and Mershon to push its lead back to nine. Conroy sunk a jumper for the Huskies to bring the score to 38-21 before both teams exchanged field goals. Two free throws from Conroy and a jumper from Huber brought the Huskies within five with under three minutes left in the half. Hubers hit a layup with a minute left on the clock to put the Huskies behind by three points but Nacickaite sunk a three on the other end to send the teams to the locker rooms with Drexel leading, 35-29.
Drexel opened the second half with a layup berfore Kerkhof hit her first three of the afternoon for Northeastern on the other end. Conroy then drew a foul while driving to the basket but was unable to complete the three-point play. Cannon's putback after a miss from Huber brought the Huskies within thre, 39-36, but Jasmina Rosseel sunk a three-pointer on the Dragons' next possession. Wootton scored four-straight points for the Dragons before Cannon intercepted a pass then dished it to Kerkhof who scored on a fastbreak layup.
Drexel regained a double-digit lead, 50-40, following a Mershon basket but consecutive baskets from Mayberry and Cannon brought the margin down to six. Nacickaite notched a layup for the Dragons before a timeout called at 11:14 to give Drexel a 52-44 lead. The teams exchanged baskets following the break before Kerkhof sunk her second three of the day to bring the Dragons' lead down to five.
Kerkhof sunk a pair of shots from the charity stripe to bring the score to 54-51 in favor of the Dragons and then Huber pulled the Huskies within two. Drexel used a 4-0 run to extend their lead but Iervolino tallied her first points of the afternoon with a shot from beyond the arc to keep Northeastern within three. Mayberry's layup at 3:52 brought the Dragons' lead to one at 59-58.
The Huskies took their first lead of the game with a Huber layup with just over three minutes left in regulation, but Drexel regained a three-point advantage with a basket and two foul shots from Nacickaite. Conroy quickly knotted the score at 63-all with a three-pointer on Northeastern's next possession but Nacickaite kept pace with a three on the other end for the Dragons. Two free throws from Mershon gave the Dragons a five-point cushion with under a minute to play.
Mershon sunk another free throw for the Dragons then Drexel blocked a shot by Cannon to regain possession with 11.3 left on the clock. The Huskies quickly fouled, sending Johnson-Allen to the line, who sunk the first of two opportunities to seal the 70-63 victory for Drexel.
Northeastern shot 50.0 percent from the field (26-of-52) while the Dragons posted a 53.8 percent mark (28-of-52). Drexel edged the Huskies on the boards, 28-26.
