The Northeastern women's rowing team posted a strong performance in its first regatta of the season on March 5, competing against Eastern Michigan and host Clemson.

The Huskies claimed two second-place finishes, two third-place finishes and one fourth-place finish on the weekend.

In the first Varsity 8 race, Northeastern earned a second-place finish, crossing the line in 7:02.24. Clemson finished first with a time of 6:54.10. Eastern Michigan finished third at 7:59.20.

The Huskies also claimed second-place in the second Varsity 8 race, after being defeated by Clemson (7:05.72). Northeastern posted a time of 7:09.98 while Eastern Michigan finished third at 8:16.89.

Northeastern rowed to third and fourth-place finishes in the Varsity 4 race. Northeastern “B” crossed the finish at 8:01.64, just ahead of Northeastern “A” at 8:04.20. Clemson “A” took first at 7:53.17, followed by Clemson “B” at 7:55.98. Clemson “C” claimed fifth with a time of 8:10.31, while Eastern Michigan finished sixth at 9:41.63.

In the regatta's final event, the third Varsity 8 race, Northeastern claimed third with a time of 7:51.93, behind Clemson “A” (7:18.21) and Clemson “B” (7:36.62).

The Huskies will return to the water on April 2, when they host Dartmouth, Boston College and the University of Rhode Island.
