Women's Track & Field Video
The Northeastern women's track & field team returned from break with a vengeance, capturing eight victories at the Roxbury CC Tiger Open on Saturday, Jan. 7 on its home track of the Reggie Lewis Track and Athletic Center. Saturday's meet was hosted by Roxbury Community College.
Sophomore
Ashlee Pitts dominated the sprints events, capturing both the 55-meter and 200-meter dashes with respective times of 7.28 and 25.37. Both of Pitts' marks were the best in both the 55-meter and 200-meter so far this season. Sophomore Ally Crooke motored through the 55-meter hurdles to the beat of 9.19 while the quartet of rookies

Christiana Gallagher and senior
Sarah Trotman came together for a first-place march of 4:05.11 in the 4 x 400-meter relay.
The Huskies dominated the field events, winning all four competitions they entered. Senior
Ida Cance led off with a 1.62m leap in the high jump for victory while junior
Jillena Decarteret captured her first victory of the season with a spring of 3.65m. Sophomore
Olivia Stevens claimed first place in the triple jump with a winning combo of 10.78m while junior
Julia Westover registered his third podium performance of the season, winning the weight throw with a season-best heave of 18:19m. Westover topped a career-best she set on Dec. 10 and still ranks third all-time on NU's top five list.
Alexander grabbed second place in the 55-meter dash after crossing in 7.31 while NU's other 4 x 400-meter squad consisting of seniors
Saleena Abdur-Rashed and
Nia Howard and sophomores
Chelsea Hudson and
Camille Henry also posted a second-place mark of 4:08.22.
Junior
Lauren Bennett finished just behind Decarteret in the pole vault, clearing 3.50m for second place.
Freshman Monet Braithwaite crossed the 200-meter dash in 25.96 for third place wile second-year harrier
Danielle Klein ran away with third place in the 800-meter run with a mark of 2:30.49. Senior
Meegan Joly executed the mile in 5:29.75 for third place while sophomore
Kate Madigan registered a third-place time of 9.40 on the 55-meter hurdles.
Northeastern has the weekend off before making a trip to New York City to compete at the famed Armory Track on Friday, Jan. 20. The University of Albany will host the Great Dane Classic on that day.
