The Northeastern women's track & field team made its mark in the home finale at Solomon Outdoor Track on Saturday after winning eight events, posting six runner-up performances and seven third-place showings at the Huskies' Solomon Invitational in Dedham, Mass.

Sophomore Georgia Pingue was Northeastern double winner, claiming both the long jump and triple jump crowns. The Cambridge, Mass., product registered a season-best leap of 5.70m (18'8.50) in the long jump and a victorious combination of 11.46m (37'7.25) in the triple jump.

Senior Sarah Trotman's last race at her home track was a success after dusting the 200-meter dash competition with a winning time of 25.23. Trotman also started off the winning leg of the 4 x 400-meter relay, including teammates Jessica Dunnigan, Victoria Alexander and Ashlee Pitts, closing out with a time of 3:59.00.

Senior captain Saleena Abdur-Rashed crushed the competition in the 100-meter hurdles, winning the event by over a second with a time of 14.19. The Bronx. N.Y., native also finished second in the 100-meter dash with a sprint of 12.23.

Veteran Ida Cance tied for the victory in the high jump after clearing 1.58m (5'2.25) in her final leap in Dedham, Mass.

Junior Jillena Decarteret logged a season best for the triumph in the pole vault, springing over 3.81m (12'6).

Classmate Julia Westover closed out the Huskies' victories with a personal record in the hammer throw, upping her personal record by three inches with a triumphant toss of 54.21m (177'10). The Lebanon, N.H., native currently holds NU's fifth-best mark in school history.

On the track, freshman Monet Brathwaite attained one of two NU second-place performances. Brathwaite turned in a second-place time of 58.46 in the 400-meter dash. Senior Annie Scully followed suit, winning the 1,500-meter run with a season-best mark of 4:50.43.

In the field, junior Rachel Taback collected second place in the discus throw with a measurement of 43.60m (143'). Senior Christina Izzicupo finished second in the javelin throw with a heave of 34.70m (113'10) while junior Lauren Bennett finished second behind Decareteret in the pole vault with a clearance of 3.37m (11'1).

The Huskies' sprinting corps turned in a trio of third-place finishes, including the 100-, 200- and 400-meter dashes.

Sophomore Ashlee Pitts cross in 12.47 for third in the 100-meter dash while Dunnigan's time of 25.97 was good enough for third place in the 200-meter dash. Gallagher's mark of 59.06 in the 400-meter dash garnered third-place laurels.

Rookie Dana Schweiger tied for third in the pole vault with a mark of 3.12m (10'3) as one of four bronze medalists in the field. Dunnigan leaped for 5.38m (17'8) in the long jump while Taback found the podium again, this time in the shot put event with a lob of 11.28m (37'0.25). Sophomore Olivia Stevens offered a third-place showing of 10.75m (35'3.25) in the triple jump to cap Northeastern's podium efforts.

The Huskies travel to the Mt. Sac Relays in Walnut, Calif., for their second to last regular-season meet for the outdoor season. Northeastern will compete in the three-day event starting on Thursday, Apr. 19 before the CAA Championship strikes on May 4 in Fairfax, Va.
