Northeastern vs. UNCW
The Huskies are 12-0 all-time against UNCW, with all of those matchups coming since Northeastern joined the CAA in 2005. NU won both matchups against the Seahawks in 2011, winning 3-1 in Boston on Oct. 7 and 3-1 in Wilmington, N.C., on Nov. 13. Junior

Natalia Skiba had 38 total digs against UNCW. The Seahawks are the only team the Huskies have never lost to in conference play.
Scouting UNCW
The Seahawks come into Friday night's matchup with a 7-9 (0-1 CAA) record. They have dropped five of their last six matches, with their most recent win coming on Sept. 18, a 3-0 decision over The Citadel. UNCW's offense is paced by Christi Laite, who has a team-high 157 kills and 422 attacks. UNCW's most efficient offensive player is McKenzie Keightley, who has a .348 attack percentage while also contributing defensively with 64 blocks. Natalie Lahaie handles most of the setting for the Seahawks, with 323 assists, and Haley Collins leads the team in digs with 198. UNCW has also gotten a team-high 19 service aces from Morgan Kline. After playing the Huskies, the Seahawks will head to Long Island to face Hofstra on Sunday.
Northeastern vs. William & Mary
NU holds a 10-5 all-time record against the Tribe, including a 9-2 mark in CAA play. The two schools met once last season, with the Huskies winning 3-0 in Boston. In that game, all 14 members of last year's team appeared for Northeastern, with
Jillian Briner and
Kelly Bacon leading the way with eight kills apiece.
Ina Kamenova had a team-high 22 assists, and Nataloia Skiba led with 12 digs.
Scouting William & Mary
Before coming to Northeastern on Sunday, the Tribe (9-5, 1-0 CAA) will battle Hofstra in Hempstead, N.Y., on Friday. William & Mary has taken on a couple common foes NU has faced, with similar results. Both the Tribe and Northeastern lost to Duke and beat Holy Cross and New Hampshire. Head Coach Melissa Shelton recorded her 300th career coaching victory in Saturday's 3-0 win over UNCW, and the Tribe surpassed their 2011 win total by grabbing their ninth win. William & Mary's offense has been led by Paulette Grand Pre's 117 kills and 356 attacks, and Carolyn Albright's .301 attack percentage. Molly Krull leads the Tribe in assists, with 318, and service aces, with 12, Defensively, Devin Andrews-Lyssy has a team-high 157 digs and Shaylin O'Connell leads the Tribe with 54 blocks.
Tribe down Seahawks
Last weekend, UNCW hosted William & Mary in each squad's CAA opener, in Wilmington, N.C. The Tribe won, 3-0, though each set was closely contested (25-20, 25-23, 25-20). The two teams both had exactly 40 kills and 39 digs, and UNCW had one more assist than William & Mary, 37-36. The Tribe were led by Paulette Grand Pre's 10 kills, Molly Krull's 17 assists and Dessi Koleva's 13 digs. The Seahawks were led by Jennifer Mallard's 10 kills, Lahaie's 27 assists and Collins' 13 digs. The Tribe comes to Boston on Sunday.
Home cookin'
Northeastern has won 12 consecutive home matches, marking the longest winning streak in program history. Northeastern's last loss at Solomon Court came on Sept. 30, 2011 in the form of a 3-0 setback to Delaware. The Huskies are 6-0 at home this season, and they have only dropped three sets along the way.
Iron women
Six Huskies – Bacon, Briner, Tucker, Bishop, Kamenova and Skiba – have appeared in all 52 sets for Northeastern this season. In comparison, no UNCW player has appeared in every set, and only one William & Mary player (Shaylin O'Connell) has done so.
Leading libero
Sophomore libero
Natalia Skiba leads the CAA in both aces per set (0.42) and digs per set (5.67), and she is ninth in the country in the latter category. She currently has 295 digs on the season, with at least 12 in every game this year. For her career, Skiba leads the squad in just her second year with 808 total heading into Friday's contest.
Top notch
Northeastern is currently ranked in the top-50 nationally in four different statistical categories. The Huskies are 25th in kills per set with 14.27, 29th in aces per set with 1.58 and 34th in assists per set with 13.21. Junior
Ina Kamenova leads NU in assists with 330. Northeastern's .800 winning percentage (12-3 overall) is the country's 43rd-best win percentage, better than 284 other programs in the country.
New England's finest
Northeastern currently holds the region's best overall record of 12-3 (.800). Boston College and Connecticut, two other New England clubs with winning records after two weekends, were handled with ease by the Huskies.
