RICHMOND, Va. - After the first weekend of volleyball action, senior
Nadia Koanui was tabbed Coastal Athletic Association (CAA) co-defensive player of the week for her performances against Saint Peter's, Holy Cross and New Hampshire in a 2-1 weekend.
Koanui tallied 49 digs in the 2-1 weekend for the Huskies, averaging 4.08 digs per set and receiving at a .953 clip. The senior libero also chipped in 10 assists and a trio of service aces. She opened the weekend with 17 digs and a pair of assists to help first-year Head Coach Brendan McGourn earn his inaugural win with Northeastern. Koanui chipped in four assists in the final two matches against Holy Cross and New Hampshire, while posting 14 and 18 digs, respectively.
Koanui and Northeastern are back in action this weekend at the Columbia Invitational where they will face off against Fordham, Columbia and New Haven.
