BOSTON — One of the nation's largest regattas awaits the Northeastern women's rowing team this weekend in Cherry Hill, N.J. The Huskies will join crews from more than 60 schools at the Knecht Cup on the Cooper River, April 13-14.

Northeastern rowers will compete in the varsity eight, second varsity eight, varsity four, and second varsity four events. The regatta features 32 events and will stage heats on Saturday morning, semifinals on Saturday afternoon, and finals on Sunday.

The varsity four will be the first Northeastern boat in action. The Huskies will race at 7:49 a.m., in heat two. NU will have two entries in the second varsity four race, with Northeastern B rowing at 9:06 in heat three, and Northeastern A rowing at 9:20 in heat five. The varsity eight is slated for 11:45 in heat three, with the second varsity eight scheduled for 12:34 p.m., in heat two.

Northeastern is one of five schools from the Colonial Athletic Association participating in the Knecht Cup. The Huskies will be joined by Buffalo, Delaware, Drexel, and George Mason.
