Performance Lists: Men | Women
BOSTON-The Northeastern men's and women's track and field teams kick off their 2014 outdoor season this weekend as the team splits its squad to send 23 student-athletes to two different competitions.
The majority of the team will travel to North Carolina to compete at the 2014 Raleigh Relays, a two-day event hosted by North Carolina State University. The meet will draw over 4,000 participants from 114 schools to compete in 58 scheduled events.
Friday's track events will begin with the men's 3000-meter race, featuring Northeastern's
Zachary Fraielli at 8:45 a.m.
Jordan O'Dea will kick off Saturday's schedule for the Huskies as she takes the track at 10 a.m., to compete in the 10,000-meter run.

Four student-athletes will travel to the University of North Florida to represent Northeastern at the UNF Spring Break Invite, a two-day contest held at the site of the first round of the NCAA outdoor competition.
Nicole Genard and
Julia Westover will represent the women's team on Friday as Genard competes in both the 100-meter hurdles and javelin. Westover will kick off the field events with the women's hammer throw at 10 a.m. Men's throwers
Max Milder and
Kevin Rosenberg will participate in the hammer throw and shot put, respectively, on Friday afternoon. Both throwers will continue competition on Saturday in the men's discuss at noon.

The 2013-14 Indoor season at a glanceThe Huskies enter the weekend following a successful indoor season, capped by appearances at the New England Championships on Feb. 28, and visits to the ECAC and IC4A Championships on Mar. 7-8.
The men's team completed its season in strong fashion after notching a 16th-place finish at the IC4A Championships, as four athletes recorded bests to end their indoor campaign. Notable performances at the competition included
Wesley Gallagher's 3,000-meter race (8:10.28), and the 4x400-meter relay team, composed of Donavan Henry,
Joshua Norris,
David Johnson, and
Anthony Pavlich, who took seventh overall.
The women's team saw its greatest success of the season at New England Championships, where the squad claimed first place after beating out 36 competing schools for the crown. Highlights of the Championship win included first-place finishes from
Lucy Young,
Julia Westover, and
Jacilyn Briggs.
The road aheadThe Huskies face a nonstop schedule in the 2014 outdoor season, and will have just one week of rest before jumping back into action next weekend at the University of New Hampshire and Stanford and the Stanford Invitational.
