Box Score BOSTON – Northeastern freshman
Aaron Civale allowed just two earned runs through five innings in the first start of his collegiate career, but UNCW came away with a 3-2 win on Friday afternoon.

Civale surrendered only five hits and two walks while striking out four, but the Seahawks' Drew Farber hit a solo home run in the ninth inning to seal the win for UNCW (27-24, 10-8 CAA).

Teddy Cillis gave the Seahawks a 1-0 lead in the second inning with a solo home run to right field, and UNCW added to its lead after Luke Dunlap connected on an RBI double in the third, but the Huskies (24-27, 8-12 CAA) broke through in the bottom half of the frame.

Connor Lyons (0-for-3, R) began a two-out, two-run rally by getting hit by a pitch, and he moved into scoring position on a wild pitch.
Michael Foster's (1-for-4, R, RBI) single to centerfield allowed Lyons to score, and
Jason Vosler (2-for-4, 2B, RBI) followed by ripping a double down the right-field line that scored Foster and tied the game, 2-2.

Northeastern made a bid to take the lead after
Cam Hanley (1-for-4, 2B) led off the fourth inning with his first-career double, but UNCW starting pitcher Jordan Ramsey recorded three-straight outs to keep the game tied.

Mike Fitzgerald struck out seven through four innings out of the bullpen, and the redshirt freshman showed great poise after the held UNCW scoreless in the eighth inning after Terence Connelly began the stanza with a triple.

The Huskies and Seahawks conclude their three-game series and the regular season on Saturday, May 17, at 12 p.m. Northeastern will honor its senior student-athletes and head coach Neil McPhee, who is retiring at the end of the season, starting at approximately 11:30 a.m.
