NEW HAVEN, Conn. --Â The Northeastern Huskies wrapped up an outstanding weekend of competition on Saturday at the Mark Young Yale Invitational as several Huskies shined en route to solid finishes in their respective events.

The events kicked off the women's 100-meter dash. Both
Jessica Dunnigan and
Jessica Scott had terrific finishes, earning fifth and sixth overall with times of 12.21 and 12.24 seconds.
Camille Gooden posted impressive marks in the 400- and 200-meter dash, taking home second and sixth place after crossing the finish line in just 55.71 and 24.57 seconds.

Gooden, Dunnigan and Scott, as well as
Victoria Alexander, would go on to secure second place in the 4x100-meter relay with a final time of 47.13 seconds.

In the 800-meter run,
Sarah Adler, a first-year competitor in the program, earned third place with an outstanding time of 2:15.55. Her teammate,
Kate Johnstone, fresh off a school record at the Larry Ellis Invitational the night before, secured second overall in the 1500-meter run after completing the event in just 4:35.58.

Betsy Garnick dominated the 100-meter hurdles at the invitational, claiming the top spot with an impressive mark of 14.66 seconds. Just behind her was Dunnigan, who finished in fifth with a time of 15.41 seconds.

The success was similar in the field events for the Huskies. The story of the day was
Nicole Genard's excellent performance in the javelin throw. The junior captain claimed first place with a remarkable throw of 48.38 meters, a new personal best.

In the shot put,
Jenna Serunian earned third place with a mark of 12.86 meters, while
Alexandra Rose took home sixth overall in the hammer throw with a toss of 48.66 meters.

The men's team also had dominant performances across the board.

Jared Lane stood finished first in both the 100-meter dash and the 100-meter hurdles with terrific times of 10.64 and 14.39 seconds. The senior was also part of a group that claimed the top spot in the 4x100-meter relay.
Kyle Darrow,
Donovan Henry and
Damani Wilson were the other three legs of the team.Â

In the 5000-meter run,
Adrian Amaya and
Patrick Cunningham were the top two finishers, crossing the line in 15:28.39 and 15:55.88, respectively.

Peter Katsarakes enjoyed success in the 400-meter hurdles, claiming the top spot with a time of 55.06 seconds.
Anthony Pavlich finished the hurdles in 55.82 seconds to take home second place.

In the field events,
Kyle Darrow dominated the long jump, securing a first-place finish with a final mark of 7.38 meters.
Jordan Samuels claimed sixth overall with a jump of 6.72 meters.
James Hall, meanwhile, finished second overall in the hammer throw with an impressive toss of 53.50 meters, while
Ryan Kim was the top Husky finisher in the shot put with a mark of 16.16 meters.

On Friday, The first event for a Husky at the Larry Ellis Invitational was the 800-meter run. Jay Navin had a solid outing, crossing the finish line in 1:54.86. The 3000-meter steeplechase was the next event.Â
Jordan O'Dea, a sophomore in the program, finished the steeplechase in just 10:14.66 to take home sixth place. That time is a new school record in the event and a new personal best for O'Dea.Â
Lucy Young was just steps behind O'Dea, earning 14th overall with a time of 10:39.50.

In the 1500-meter run,Â
Paul Duffey andÂ
Stephen Sollowin enjoyed success, taking home 38th and 48th overall with times of 3:51.21 and 3:53.65, respectively.Â
Kate Johnstone joined O'Dea by etching her name in the history books in the 1500-meter run. She crossed the finish line in just 4:27.55, a new personal best and school record.

NU's day wrapped up with 5000-meter run.Â
Christian Stafford was the at the head of the pack for the Huskies, earning 25th place with a time of 14:40.07. Just behind the freshman wereÂ
Zachary Krause andÂ
Zachary Fraielli, who finished 43rd and 52nd after completing the run in 14:59.71 and 15:06.49, respectively.

Kerri Ruffo andÂ
Danielle Klein represented Northeastern well in the women's 5000-meter run. Ruffo finished in 24th place with a time of 17:09.10, while Klein took home 37th after crossing the finish line in 17:33.06.
