Championship CentralPRINCETON, N.J. – The first day of competition at this year's IC4A/ECAC Championships came to a close after several Northeastern Huskies posted impressive times and marks in their respective events.

The highlight of the Friday's competition came during the women's 3,000-meter steeplechase, when sophomore
Jordan O'Dea recorded a new personal best, crossing the finish line in 10:08.18 to claim third overall. The top-three finish marks the second time this season the Yarmouth, Massachusetts, native has claimed third or better in the 3,000-meter steeplechase, and the third time she has finished in the top 10.

Danielle Klein, meanwhile, fresh off a strong performance at the CAA championships two weeks ago, took home 19th overall in the 10,000-meter run, after completing the event Âin just 37:45.74.

On the men's side,
Zachary Krause earned 21st place in the 5,000-meter run with a time of 15:13.56.
Nick Fofana, competing in a decathlon, earned 15th in the 100-meter dash, crossing the finish line in 11.98 second.
In the long jump, the freshman claimed 11th overall with a mark of 6.19 meters. He went on to shine in the shot put, taking home second overall with an outstanding toss of 12.80 meters.

At the end of the first day, the women's team sits in 10th place with a point total of six. The full schedule of events for Saturday's competition can be found
