Day One RecapPRINCETON, N.J. – The IC4A/ECAC Championships came to a close on Sunday as eight Huskies competed in the finals of their respective events.

The men ended the afternoon with a point total of 28 to take home 11th overall. First place went to LIU Brooklyn with 60 total points.
The women earned 25th place after recording a final tally of 15 points. George Mason claimed first overall as a team on the women's side.

A team comprised of
Kyle Darrow,
Jared Lane,
Damani Wilson and
Donovan Henry competed in the 4x100-meter relay, taking home third overall with a time of 40.27 seconds. The time is a new program best, breaking a record that stood for 30 years.Â
"Breaking a 30-year old program record is an amazing accomplishment for our 4x100-meter relay team," Director of Track and Field and Cross Country

Lane's strong afternoon continued in the 110-meter hurdles as the senior completed the event in just 14.51 seconds to earn seventh place. It's the fourth time this season Lane has finished in the top seven in the 110-meter hurdles.

In the 800-meter run,
Paul Duffey, who represented the Huskies earlier this season at the NCAA Indoor Championships, crossed the finish line in third place with a time of 1:49.51. Duffey has now finished in the top three in the 800-meters three different times this season.

Wilson went on to shine in the 200-meter dash, finishing in fifth place after completing the dash in just 21.40 seconds. With the top-five finish, Wilson has now secured three on the season in the 200-meter dash.

The weekend was one to remember for the Huskies as the team had athletes who set new personal records and recorded several top-five finishes. The Huskies now prepare for the NCAA Outdoor Championships, which are set to take place in two weeks.
"We have a diverse group of student-athletes that have represented the Northeastern track and field program at the IC4A/ECAC Championships," Erickson continued. "To finish 11th on the men's side is a step in the right direction for the program."Â
