Schedule of Events JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- The Northeastern Huskies had two student-athletes representing the program during competition on Friday, May 29, the second day of the first round of the NCAA Championships.
Jared Lane was the first Husky to compete on Friday. The Piscataway, New Jersey, native turned in a stellar performance in the 110-meter hurdles, earning 35th overall with a solid time of 14.29 seconds, a new personal best. Lane has four top-five finishes in the 110-meter hurdles this season. The top 24 advance to the next round, which is scheduled for next weekend in Eugene, Oregon.
The day wrapped up with the 3,000-meter steeplechase, during which
Jordan O'Dea performed extremely well. The sophomore, competing in the NCAA Championships for the first time, finished in 30th place with a time of 10:18.05, also a personal best.
The top 12 in this event advance to the finals in Eugene. O'Dea enjoyed a stellar season, recording several new personal records, including her performance tonight. All in all, the Yarmouth, Massachusetts, native recorded four top-six finishes during the course of the season in the 3,000-meter steeplechase.
The first round concludes tomorrow from Jacksonville, Florida. A team comprised of

Damani Wilson,
Kwame Fordwor, and
Donovan Henry will be competing in the 4x100-meter relay. The start time for that event is scheduled for 6:15 p.m.
