PRINCETON, N.J. – The Northeastern women's rowing team continued its fall slate over the weekend at the Princeton Chase, highlighted by an eighth place finish from the Huskies first varsity squad.
With
Haley Doucette as the coxswain, NU went up against the likes of Brown, Virginia, Princeton and Duke crews throughout the morning on Lake Carnegie, earning a split time of 8:28.757 before ultimately taking the eighth spot at 14:54.875. Brown's 'A' boat won the event at 14:14.672, followed by the Virginia (14:21.485), Yale (14:23.181), Princeton (14:31.702) and Duke (14:41.829) 'A' boats taking the second through fifth spots, respectively.
Also competing on the 2¾ course was the Huskies' 'B' boat, who placed 23rd overall with a time of 15:31.277, while the Northeastern 'C' clocked in at 16:47.780 to finish 55th.
Northeastern will close out its fall schedule next weekend when the Huskies compete in the Foot of the Charles back home on the Charles River.
