T.J. OR J.J.?
• Through his first 11 games of the season,
T.J. Williams has recorded seven 20+ point games on the year, including a 30-point effort, a career first for the senior, against Boston University in the season opener
• The last Husky to record as many 20+ point games through the first 11 games of the season was Jose Juan Barea, who had eight such games to start the 2005-06 season, also his senior campaign, more than 10 years ago
• Through the first 11 games, Williams is averaging a CAA leading 21.5 points per game, 6.0 apg, and 4.3 rebounds per game
• During that same stretch, Barea was averaging 22.7 ppg, 8.8 apg, and 4.4 rpg
• However, Barea was held without a 30-point game that year until Jan. 7, 2006 when he dropped 32 at Old Dominion
• Last season,
David Walker began the year with four such 20+ point games, including a 30-point effort vs. Lipscomb (Nov. 21)
Â
EN ROUTE TO 1,000
• Already tallying 236 points this season through the first 11 games,
T.J. Williams now has 971 points for his Northeastern career
• Williams, now just 29 points shy of 1,000 for his career would become the 37th player to hit the milestone in Northeastern's program history
• Currently Williams ranks 40th all-time on the Northeastern scoring charts passing Steve Carney and Marcus Barnes (966) after the Michigan State game
• If Williams continues to average his conference leading 21.5 ppg he will reach the milestone in two games
