Season StatsBOSTON – With eight different players scoring and five reaching double-figures, the Northeastern women's basketball team comfortably extended its winning streak to five consecutive games on Friday afternoon at Cabot Center as the Huskies downed College of Charleston, 78-66.

Francesca Sally led NU with a season high, 19 points, shooting seven-of-10 from the floor, knocking down both 3-point shots she attempted.

Jess Genco and
Samantha DeFreese both flirted with double-doubles on Friday. Genco's 14 points were second best on the team behind Sally, while the freshman point guard recorded eight assists, two steals, and four 3-point field goals. DeFreese notched 13 points and nine rebounds, tallying three assists, a block, and a steal as well.

Northeastern (13-14, 8-8 CAA) shot 50.8 percent from the field (32-of-63), draining 10 3-pointers for the fourth time this year. The Huskies outscored College of Charleston (9-17, 4-11 CAA), 34-28, in the paint, and led the Cougars by 19 at the half.

NU will wrap up the weekend on Sunday, Feb. 28, with a 2 p.m. road game against Towson.
