PHILADELPHIA – A clutch three to tie the ball game and send the game to overtime, along with four important free throws in the extra stanza by freshman
Bolden Brace helped the Northeastern men's basketball team to a 75-70 overtime victory at Drexel Monday afternoon.

Brace finished with nine points, all of which came with under five minutes remaining in regulation and in the overtime period.
After starting with a pair of free throws to give the Huskies a 56-55 edge with just under five remaining in the second half, Brace hit the biggest three of his career, with the Huskies down 61-58, with 33.1 seconds remaining in regulation to tie the ball game and force overtime.

Alex Murphy under the basket for a dunk that put Northeastern (9-5, 2-0 CAA) up 71-68 in overtime after
Maxime Boursiquot scrapped for his 13
th rebound of the game, then finished out the game sinking four-straight free throws to help the Huskies to the 75-70 win.

The win was the fifth-straight for the Huskies who open up CAA play at 2-0 for the second straight season.

Boursiquot notched a career-high 13 rebounds, the fourth Husky to have double-digit boards this season, and added six key points. Murphy added his fifth 20-point game of the season finishing with 20 points and nine rebounds while also making two blocks.

T.J. Williams added 24 points, five rebounds and four assists for the Huskies, recording his ninth 20-point game of the season while
Devon Begley, who connected on a deep three in overtime to give the Huskies an early six-point cushion finished with nine points and a team-high five assists.

The Dragons (6-9, 0-2) had four scorers in double-digits led by Rodney Williams who had 20, with 14 of them coming in the first half, while Sammy Mojica had 11 points, eight assists and five rebounds.

The Huskies got out to a fast start using three treys in the first five minutes of action to take an 11-7 lead fueled by
T.J. Williams,
Shawn Occeus, and
Alex Murphy.

Williams would go on to add another three baskets to finish with nine points at the half, but despite a 10-point lead with six minutes remaining in the first half, Drexel went on a 14-3 run to close out the half.

Northeastern's lone basket during that span was a three by
Devon Begley, his second of the half, that came with just under three minutes remaining and skidded an 8-0 Drexel run. The Dragons finished with the final six points of the half taking the slight 26-25 lead with under 40 seconds left in the first on a Austin Williams layup.

After allowing Drexel to gain a nine-point lead midway through the second half, Northeastern scrapped back using an 8-1 run, started off by a
Shawn Occeus dunk, then continued as Occeus made the steal and found Williams for a fast break layup. The span was capped off by a Williams layup to make it a two-point game.

After the Dragons once again extended the lead, Boursiquot found a streaking Murphy in the paint to tie the game at 50-all.

The scored was tied six times, while the lead changed 10 times in the second half with one of those ties coming on Brace's trey.

In overtime, the Huskies jumped out to a five-point lead highlighted by a Murphy dunk and a Williams three-point play. After Drexel got a basket back, Begley his his deep three to make it a six-point game. Drexel came within one, but Brace, and his free throw shooting, held of the Dragons as Northeastern won its fourth-straight over Drexel.

The Huskies head back to their home turf for a three-game homestand beginning on Thursday night when they take on Delaware at 7 p.m. on the American Sports Network.
