ALBANY, N.Y. – The Northeastern track and field team amassed 61 top 10 finishes at the University of Albany's Spring Classic on Saturday.
 
The distance crew opened the meet with a bang. Junior Kerri Ruffo, who took first place in the 5000m run, clocked a top five conference performance of 17:27.13 while Jordan O'Dea also notched a win for the distance women with a three second personal best 4:35.42 performance in the 1500m run. Jay Navin, David McDonald and Mike Duggan also tabbed top 10 finishes in the 1500m run.
 
All four Husky hurdlers in the men's 110m race (Bleichert, Richards, Kilpatrick, Ferri) advanced to the finals claiming second, third, fourth and eighth.
 
In the field, Paige Suse won the high jump with a 1.70m mark and Rose Castle earned her first top finish of the season in the triple jump with a 11.73m performance.
 
Freshman Travis Kartz posted a new personal best and took first place in the pole vault with a 4.90m mark.
 
Next weekend, the Huskies will head to the prestigious Penn Relays as well as Brown University's Invitational. The two meets will conclude the regular season for Northeastern and the team will look ahead to CAA Championships May 5^th-6^th.
