BOSTON – The Huskies are stopping by Matthews Arena on Saturday afternoon as they take on Delaware at 2 p.m. on the team's annual Coaches vs. Cancer Day.

The home game with the Blue Hens is the lone home game in a six-game stretch that took the Huskies from South to North Carolina, to Virginia, down to New York and wrapping up in Philadelphia.

Northeastern is coming off of a huge 90-70 victory over William & Mary in Williamsburg, in just the Huskies' second ever win at Kaplan Arena.

The Huskies shot a lights-out 71.4 percent from the field during the game, paced by Vasa Pusica's seventh 20-point effort of the year as the team accumulated 25 assists on 35 (of 49) baskets.

TAKING ADVANTAGE
• One of the most notable things about this Northeastern basketball team is their ability to create and-one opportunities
• This season, through 19 games, 10 different Huskies have created 27 such situations
• Northeastern has also connected on the free throw in 22 of the 27 opportunities
• The leader of the pack is Shawn Occeus who has not only created eight and-one opportunities, and has completed the three-point play on six of the eight chances
Devon Begley and Tomas Murphy have each headed to the charity stripe for the free throw four times, while Anthony Green has done so thrice, Vasa Pusica and Max Boursiquot have twice, and Bolden Brace, Donnell Gresham, Derrick Cook, and Myles Franklin have once
• The Huskies had four such plays against Kent State, adding the free throw in each of them, the most in a single game this season, while doing so three times last time out

ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
• For the second time this season, Tomas Murphy has been named CAA Rookie of the Week
• This honor comes after Murphy led the Huskies with 13.5 ppg and a .647 shooting effort last week in a 1-1 week that saw a setback in Charleston followed by a win at UNCW
• Murphy's first honor came after the first week of action this season when he led all scorers on the weekend averaging 11.5 points per game as well as 4.0 rebounds per game as he helped the Huskies begin their season 2-0 for the fourth-straight year
• That honor marked the fourth-straight season that the Huskies have earned conference honors following the first weekend of action
• The Wakefield, R.I. native became the first Husky to earn conference Rookie of the Week honors after his first weekend of action since Reggie Spencer achieved the feat Nov. 15, 2011
• With Murphy's second honor, the Huskies have now had multiple CAA Rookie of the Week honorees in consecutive seasons

STEALS ON STEALS ON STEALS
• Through 19 games, the Huskies have robbed their opponents 131 times or 6.9 times per game
• The 131 steals rank 2nd in the CAA and 110th nationally
• 10 of Northeastern's 12 roster players have recorded a steal on the year, led by Shawn Occeus' 37 and Vasa Pusica's 24
• Occeus, in fact, leads the CAA in steals with 1.95 per game, a mark that also ranks 57th nationally, and his 37 total steals rank 43rd, while Pusica's mark ranks 10th (1.3 spg) in the conference
• Occeus has led the Huskies in steals in 11 of the 18 games on the season
• While, in seven of 18 games this season, Occeus has tallied at least three steals, a mark that he only achieved twice last season
• Last season, Devon Begley led the conference in thefts en route to CAA All-Defensive Team honors

RACKING UP THE POINTS
• Through the first 19 games of the season, the Huskies have already recorded eight 80-point games and a 90-point effort and are averaging 73.5 points a contest
• To put things into perspective, it took the first six combined seasons of Bill Coen era to achieve that feat
• While the scoring mark ranks near the bottom of the CAA, this season, that isn't out of the norm for the Huskies who have always ranked near the top of the conference in scoring defense
• The 73.5 ppg mark this season is the highest mark of the Bill Coen era (2016-17; 72.1)
• This year's scoring defense ranks third in the conference (69.4 ppg) while the team's 3FG defense ranks first in the CAA and 39th nationally holding their opponents to .313 shooting from behind the arc
• The previous two seasons, the Huskies finished with eight such games each year, while adding three 90-point finishes and last season recorded the first 100-point effort of the Coen era... using two overtime periods
