NEW HAVEN, Conn. –
Julia Marshall led the way as the multis athletes competed at Southern Connecticut State on Thursday and Friday. The junior took second place in the women's heptathlon with 3,974, a new outdoor personal best.

Marshall finished in the top-three in five out the seven events, while taking second place in the high jump with a mark of 1.49 meters. The Weymouth, Massachusetts native posted personal bests in the long jump (5.20 meters) and the shot put (9.19 meters), finishing third in both events.

Senior
Nick Fofana led the way for the men in the decathlon, earning fourth place with 6,321 points. The Newton, Massachusetts native secured a top-five finish in six out of the ten events, with a first place finish in the high jump (1.90 meters).

Anna Noble finished eighth in the women's heptathlon with 3,285 points. The junior posted a personal best in the 800 meter with a tie of 2:29.92 on her way to first place in the event.

Mark Puglia and
Matthew Richards finished 12th and 13th, respectively, in the men's decathlon. Puglia finished with 5,431 points, a new personal best for the sophomore, while also posting four other personal bests in the high jump, pole vault, 110 meter hurdles and the javelin.

Richards tied his personal best in the discus throw with a mark of 28.96 meters.
