PHILADELPHIA, Penn. – Northeastern's 4x800 women's relay team of set a new program record on Saturday, as the Huskies competed at the Penn Relays. The relay team of
Sarah Adler,
Corinne Myers,
Brooke Wojeski and
Amy Piccolo posted a time of 8:48.42 to break the school record from 2004.
The men's 4x800 relay team also had a great race, taking fifth place in the men's collegiate event.
Jay Navin,
Jonathan Prus,
Marc Rienas and
Connor Donovan finished with a time of 7:33.32, the third-best time in Northeastern history.
Eric Mellusi had a personal-best mark in the men's discus championship on his way to third place. The senior earned a mark of 57.66 meters, the second-best mark in program history. Mellusi also finished 17th in the collegiate hammer throw, while
Connor Fugere placed 13th in the event.
Ryan Kim took eighth place in the men's shot put championship, and
Spencer McKeough finished 13
th in the men's collegiate shot put.
Senior
Kyle Darrow earned a sixth in the men's long jump championship, with a mark of 7.39 meters, while
Jordan Samuels finished fourth in his 110 meter hurdle heat.
