BOSTON – The Tuesday, April 3, semifinal game of the 29th annual Baseball Beanpot, featuring a matchup between Northeastern and Massachusetts, has been moved to Friedman Diamond in Brookline, as announced by the Northeastern athletic department early Tuesday morning. First pitch will remain at 3 p.m.
Â
Previously, Tuesday's game had been scheduled to take place at the Minutemen's Earl Lorden Field in Amherst.
Â
The change bodes well for Northeastern, which is 4-3 all-time when competing in Beanpot games at Friedman Diamond. Tuesday's semifinal game will now mark the 10th Beanpot game to take place at the Huskies' home ballpark, tying the facility with Campanelli Stadium (Brockton, Massachusetts) for the most behind the grounds of Fenway Park.
Â
Northeastern (14-10) is projected to start right-hander
Brian Rodriguez on Tuesday against Massachusetts (9-8).
