BOSTON – The American Hockey Coaches Association (AHCA) proudly announced the 488 Division I student-athletes selected as All-American Scholars for the 2017-18 season on Friday, July 27.
Among the honorees are four representatives from the Northeastern women's ice hockey team –
Morgan Crane,
Matti Hartman,
Tori Sullivan and
Shelby Herrington – as well as
Jake Theut from the men's ice hockey team. As 2017-18 All-American Scholars, these student-athletes attained a 3.6 GPA or above in each semester and participated in at least 40 percent of their team's games.Â
Northeastern's five AHCA All-American Scholars were also named to the 2017-18 Hockey East All-Academic team on July 13.
The men's hockey team will open its 2018-19 season on Oct. 12 at Sacred Heart, while the women's team will begin its Hockey East title defense on Oct. 5 vs. Boston University at Matthews Arena.
