BOSTON – With overcast and raw conditions, the Northeastern women's rowing team closed out the regular season on Saturday morning against Radcliffe and Yale on the Charles River.
The Huskies went up against two fast crews in the first varsity, with Yale and the Crimson flying out of the start to take the early lead with Northeastern in third. Yale ultimately pulled away to win by open water and a seven-second victory over Harvard with the Huskies clocking in at 7:43.097.
Radcliffe and Yale found themselves in a battle in the second varsity as well, with Northeastern in the mix as all three crews came out fast from the start. The Huskies kept their bow ball on the stern of Yale for a majority of the race, but ultimately it was the Crimson taking the win with NU in third at 7:40.568.
Yale would also go on to win the varsity four by open water, with the Huskies finishing third at 9:07.699.
Northeastern will be back in action on May 5 when the Huskies travel to Worcester for the Eastern Sprints on Lake Quinsigamond.
