BOSTON -- The Northeastern men's ice hockey team is set to travel to Belfast, Northern Ireland for the Friendship Four series in November, and packages are available for fans to come along and support the Huskies in person! Northeastern will take on New Hampshire in a Hockey East game on Nov. 29 before facing either Colgate or Princeton on Nov. 30.
The Huskies previously participated in the inaugural Friendship Four in 2015, which head coach
Jim Madigan identified as a turning point for the team that season as they went on to win the Hockey East Championship.
"Our trip to the Friendship Four proved to be a turning point in our season in 2015, culminating in our first Hockey East championship in nearly 30 years," said Madigan. "To have the chance to return to a city and an arena that holds such fond memories for our program is very exciting. Our trip to Belfast was an experience that our players and staff will always cherish, and I would like to thank everyone involved in this process for inviting Northeastern back to the Friendship Four. We're thrilled to have a second opportunity to return to the vibrant city of Belfast and compete for the Belpot."
