Shaw announces 2019-20 newcomers

BOSTON— Northeastern director of track & field and cross country Tramaine Shaw welcomes 29 student-athletes for the upcoming 2019-20 season.

Shaw and her staff are looking to build on last season's success, as the men captured another CAA Championship for the fifth straight year and the women for the sixth-consecutive season finished first at the New England Indoor Track & Field Championships.

"Both Coach Lonergan and Coach Murray worked diligently to assemble a recruiting class that not only met our team needs athletically, but also fit with our future goals and what we desire to represent as a program," said Shaw. "I look forward to watching these young men and women grow as student-athletes and become the future leaders of our program."

The 29 newcomers represent nine states, including seven from Northeastern's home state of Massachusetts, and two different countries.
