BOSTON - Northeastern worked extra to capture its first-ever three-peat in the Beanpot, and won its first-ever Belpot Championship in Belfast, Northern Ireland at the Friendship Four to highlight another strong season for the Huskies in 2019-20.

TEAM HIGHLIGHTS
- Captured third consecutive Beanpot Championship for first time in school history
- Won first Belpot Championship
- Remained inside the top 20 all season long in the rankings, reaching No. 8 in December
- The Huskies won their first-ever series over Providence since the 2014 season
- Won 8 of 9 games (Nov. 16-Jan. 6) in November, December and January
- Swept No. 11 UMass Lowell en route to earning seven wins over ranked opponents
- The Huskies finished the season first in Hockey East and seventh in the nation with killing 87% of their penalties
INDIVIDUAL HIGHLIGHTS
- Tyler Madden had 19 goals and 18 assists in only 27 games, ranking No. 3 in the NCAA in goals per game (0.70) and No. 5 in points per game (1.37)
- Captain Ryan Shea led the team with 26 assists, fifth in Hockey East and No. 21 in the NCAA in assists per game (0.73)
- Madden and Shea were both named Hockey East All-Stars
- Shea garnered Friendship Four MVP honors after tallying two goals and three assists to lead the Huskies to their first-ever Belpot title
- Zach Solow won Beanpot tournament MVP and had two stretches during the season of scoring a goal in four straight games
- Craig Pantano ended with a 2.50 GAA and a .915 save percentage, while receiving the Hockey East Stop It Goaltender of the Month in October and the Hockey East Defensive Player of the Week in February
- Pantano won more games at Northeastern (18) then he did in his three-year career at Merrimack (17) and was awarded the Eberly Award for goalie with best save percentage during Beanpot tournament
