AMESBURY, Mass. — For the third week in a row and fourth time this year, No. 16 Northeastern men's hockey goaltender
Devon Levi has been awarded the Pro Ambitions Rookie of the Week award, announced by the Hockey East league office on Monday.
- The sophomore earned wins in both matchups with No. 13 Providence this past weekend after he made 71 saves and allowed just one goal in both games.
- Levi earned his sixth shutout of the season in Friday's win, breaking the school record for shutouts in a season and tying the NCAA leader just 17 games into the Huskies' season. He also has the fifth-most career shutouts in program history.
- He currently sits at a .955 save percentage, good for first in the country and leads Division I in saves with 504.
- The Dollard-des-Ormeaux, Quebec native also leads Hockey East in GAA (1.33) and is third in the country in the category,
- This is the fourth Pro Ambitions Rookie of the Week Award for Levi after he earned the same honor on October 4, 2021, November 22, 2021 and November 29, 2021. He also was the Pro Ambitions Rookie of the Month for October and November and earned Hockey East Goaltender of the Week honors on October 25th.
After sweeping No. 13 Providence and guiding the Huskies to a 13-4-1 record halfway through the season, Levi and co. will break for the holidays before returning for their next scheduled game on January 7, 2022 against Long Island in Historic Matthews Arena at 7:30 p.m. on
