Nina Koyama To Be Inducted Into Women’s Beanpot Hall Of Fame

BOSTON— Northeastern women's hockey alumna Nina Koyama '89 will be inducted into the Women's Beanpot Hall of Fame on Tuesday, Feb. 8 as announced on Monday.
 
Koyama, Boston College's Allie Thunstrom '10, Boston University's Sammy Davis '20 and Harvard's Julie Sasner '88 will be inducted into the Hall of Fame Class of 2022 on Tuesday, Feb. 8 in Matthews Arena.
 
The MVP of the 1986 Beanpot, Koyama played in a period dominated by the Huskies. During Koyama's four seasons, NU won four straight Beanpots, outscoring the opposition by 66-2 in her eight games. She was named to the 40th Anniversary All-Beanpot Team in 2018. A Minnesota native, Koyama lives locally and works as a neonatal respiratory therapist in Boston.
 
The Huskies will open play at the 43rd annual Beanpot against Boston College on Tuesday, Feb. 1 at 7:30 p.m. in Matthews Arena.
